‼️ CHRISTMAS & STARS

✅Treat yourself to the Sun and Stars of the ancient Romans, with two volumes on the magic lights of Villa Adriana and the Pantheon.

✅The Winter Solstice was a key moment in ancient Rome, the transition from the Old Year to the New Year, with vigils, gifts and banquets, as we still do today.

✅ The first book «Villa Adriana. Architettura Celeste. I Segreti dei Solstizi» (in Italian language only) illustrates our discoveries of Archaeoastronomy in the Villa Adriana at Tivoli - Hadrian's Villla.
On the occasion of the two Solstices, special luminous phenomena still take place in the buildings of the Accademia (still in private ownership) and in Roccabruna.
👉 At dawn on the Winter Solstice or at sunset on the Summer Solstice we can stille see fascinating illuminations, such as the Blade of Light.
They  had a precise symbolic meaning, which is explained in detail in several chapters with unique photographs.

✅ The second book, «Pantheon. Architecture & Light», (available in English Language), on the other hand concerns luminous phenomena that can be seen in one of the most extraordinary buildings that have survived from Roman antiquity.
At the Winter Solstice the Sun illuminated the top of the immense dome of the Pantheon, while at the Summer Solstice it created a huge Circle of Light on the floor.
👉 But the most important phenomenon was the Arc and the Square of Light, which are seen only for a very few days in the course of the year. They have allowed us to understand the function and symbolic meaning of the Pantheon, hitherto shrouded in mystery.

‼️Happy Holidays!
