MARINA DE FRANCESCHINI at the SCHOOL OF ARCHAEOASTRONOMY in ROME

On Wednesday 10 May 2023, at 2.00 pm Marina De Franceschini will give a lecture at the School of Archaeoastronomy, entitled
«Rediscovering Roman antiquity with Archaeoastronomy»
She will explain how Archaeoastronomy provides a new key to understand the meaning and function of ancient Roman buildings, which goes sideways with the traditional ones.
She will present some ancient Roman buildings where archaeoastronomical phenomena occur and will explain their symbolic meaning.
This is the Seventh edition of the UAI National School of Archaeoastronomy, from 10 to 12 May 2023 (Wednesday-Friday)
The School is directed by Paolo Colona, physicist and archaeoastronomer, with the patronage of the Italian Society of Archaeoastronomy.
