RIRELLA EDITOR
This Academic Editor was founded in 2016 to publish and disseminate the studies of Archeology and Archaeoastronomy of Marina De Franceschini, archaeologist and independent researcher.
Books and articles show the results of her Accademia Project, created in 2005 to study one of the lesser-known buildings of Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli (Rome), the Accademia (Academy), which is still privately owned and was never opened to the public.
The Accademia Project includes other studies of Roman Cultural Archaeoastronomy, which started right from Hadrian’s Villa with the book Villa Adriana. Architettura Celeste. I Segreti dei Solstizi. (Hadrian’s Villa. Celestial Architecture. The Solstices Secrets).
Those studies focus on other important buildings of the Roman antiquity where the Author discovered extraordinary luminous phenomena.
In the Pantheon at Rome there is the illumination of the Arc and the Square of Light, that had a precise symbolic meaning.
In the Mausoleum of Hadrian (Castel Sant'Angelo) at Rome there is the illumination in the Sala delle Urne (Hall of the Urns), whch was the burial chamber.
